Network Sharing - External wont show on WDTV

Hi

I have WDTV with laptop running windows 8

I share all other folders and it shows on WDTV with no issues

I share External but it just wont show up

What do I do?

What do I check?

Had external and WDTV connected to pc running windows 7 previously. had no problems

Hi and welcome to the WD community.

Try to make sure the External drive is shared and also make sure the permissions are correct when you go to property ans security on the external drive.

I have set permissions, shared etc a hundred times 

Ive done it all

This one is beating me

I am even willing to give you remote access to my pc to see if you can sort it :slight_smile:
