I’m out of ideas… sorry…
Is it possible to completely clear all configuration data etc and start again as something is not correct.
Can you also confirm if the following should happen.
If i do clear network login, it scans/rebuilds the media library again when i login
If i have metadata added, i have to go back to home screen and navigate into the video folder to see the movie data after the scan.
I have also shut down one of my QNAP’S and i still cant swtich between one QNAP and WD NAS when media library is on. Cant understand why it just does it with one of the QNAP’s?
Yes, both of those things happen. When you do “CLEAR LOGIN INFO,” it also LOGS OUT of those devices.
Yes, Metadata and some other things only show up if you begin browsing AFTER the library is compiled.
Go to a windows PC and issue the following commands, capture the output, and put it in a post.
nbtstat -a \[name of QNAP]
nbtstat -a \]name of WD NAS]
net view \[name of QNAP]
net view \[name of WD NAS]
Data below, i had to use the follow to get nbtstat to work (nbtstat -a MEDIA)
Looking below the WDNAS description comes up not the actual name of the NAS

Ok, previously you said that no shares were named the same; but both devices have a share called PUBLIC.
Is that one of the shares you mount? If so, try changing the name on one of them to, maybe, Public2.
They are both system default shares and i cannot rename them or delete
I could set the one on the QNAP to not allow guest access that way it will not look at it, but there is nothing in the folder
Oh, yeah, that’s right…
By the way, what did you mean by “Looking below the WDNAS description comes up not the actual name of the NAS”
the WD NAS is named MEDIA, but i remember when i set it up it lets you put a description in which i put as Episodes Pictures and Music and you can see under net view that comes up. Managed to assign the QNAP Public folder to hidden so now that does not show up
