Need warranty info for WD 6TB My Book Desktop External Hard Drive

Hi,

I bought WD 6TB My Book Desktop External Hard Drive from Amazon US when I was in USA last week. Now I want to use it in India. I checked the warranty status of the HDD and it is mentioned as ‘Out of Region’. I spoke with WD customer care executive in India over the phone regarding the warranty and she said that warranty is valid in India. I just need to confirm if it is true or I won’t get any warranty in WD service centers in India. Thanks.

Hi, as tech support told you, you will be entitled to get a replacement drive in India even if the region of the drive is different, the only thing is that you will need to call support again as you will not be able to start the replacement process on the website.
