Need step-by-step for streaming via goodplayer on ipad

I can connect via WD 2go but don’t know how to stream via goodplayer.

Can someone walk me through configuring for ipad when home and away?

Sorry, new to this but purchased the WD My Book Live Duo 6TB and would like to actually be able to use it.

Also have Kindle Fire HD 8.9 that I will need streaming settings for.

What is best app for that?

I have a large collection of family home movies in .avi and .mov and .mpg format.

Hi, WD2Go only supports the videos that the device supports natively, so check if you are trying to play supported files. The files that are not supported will have a question mark icon.

Okay, some files do have a question mark on them.

Do I have to convert them or is there another way to stream them via goodplayer or another app?

There are quite a lot as we’ve had the family videos turned into digital files and put on DVD.

So to convert each file would be time consuming.

I’d appreciate your suggestions.

The other option would be to copy the files to the phone memory and then use another Media Player that has support for the file, but that would defeat the advantage of just streaming the files. Unfortunately I don’t have any names, but there should be some programs that allow you to select all the videos that you would like to convert and do it automatically, with the help of Google you should be able to find several options.
