Just purchased and installed a WD My Passport portable drive to create an image of my PC hard drive and to maintain scheduled weekly backups.
This portable drive replaces a Seagate external drive that was handling my backups but was at capacity.
Using the “backup and restore” feature in Windows 7 I was able to create a system image with no problem. But when I tried to perform a restore, my system didn’t find my new WD drive, instead it only listed my old Seagate drive although I changed the drive letter of my new WD.
Anyone know how I can solve this problem so my new WD drive is the only one that appears?
I would appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
