Hi people.

I want to troubleshot mypasswport 320GB, I open up the enclosure and found my disk is a sata but the interface is not a standard sata, exist a way to connect this to a standard sata and see if I can recover my files?

The disk stop working and don’t know if is  the USB interface or the disk.

If it’s a drive that came with Smartware the data will be hardware encrypted whether you used Smartware or not. If you get the data off it will be encrypted and useless.

Yes the data is useless without the circuit board. Did you try different  USB ports,USB cables and moving power supply plug?
