myCloud EX2 unreachable after SMB access through android client

Hello,

first off, I was unable to find this topic, so sorry if this was discussed already.

My MyCloud EX2 works fine, until I access media over SMB through an older android tablet device (99% sure it’s that device). Visible symptoms are:

web interface (LAN) is down - ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED
SMB shares are down
SSH is up

Trying to reboot the device through SSH:

01-16 16:39:18 UTC) built-in shell (ash)
Enter ‘help’ for a list of built-in commands.

root@MEDIA ~ # reboot now
killall: crond: no process killed
_sysfs_read_str: ‘/proc/sys/vm/block_dump’
sh: can’t kill pid 3659: No such process
str2ll: input string, tmp/.volume, is invalid
str2ll: tmp/.volume

sysinfod: Creating a new entry for md1.
sysinfod: Creating a new entry for md0.
str2ll: input string, | grep /mnt/HD/, is invalid

The session ends with that, and the device will stay dead until I power it up again.

Your suggestions are welcome!
