MyCloud Device on Xfinity Blocks security risks

I have a WDMyCloud 3TB NAS device about 2019, with firmware updated to latest 5.27.157 and each week my Internet provider, Xfinity, notes that 10-15 times per week an IP reputation security risk happens and is blocked. I do not use Cloud Access. Why is this happening?

You probably don’t have a My Cloud Home (white top, silver bottom) which is completely separate from the WD My Cloud line of NAS, therefore this is the wrong forum for this thread. Instead, go up and head over to the OS5 or OS3 forum which is what your NAS belongs.

But this sounds like a reputational block by Xfinity router that is based on some ip address and not a specific threat assessment as explained in this Xfinity community forum thread:

You could minimize the false positives by changing your administrator name on your My Cloud to something other than ‘admin’ for example as explained in the thread or simply don’t use the buggy Xfinity security feature and use some other router or firewall.
