I’m using Windows 7 and my MyBook World Edition is 1TB. When plugged in, I can hear/feel the disk rotating but the blue led light in front doesn’t go on and it’s not recognized by the computer. I don’t know what the problem could be but it would be great if I could get it working as it’s just sitting around without warranty. Thanks in Advance.

I had the same problem. Lucky, I had warranty. Problem is with electronics in WD World Edition. My suggestion - take discs out of unit and use it.
