MyBook World Edition II 2TB (2 discs) in STRIPE (RAID0) — DataVolume doesn't exist problem

So here’s my problem:

I’ve got WD MBWEII 2TB (1 TB HDDx2) in STRIPE (RAID 0)

After power shutdown and reboot it starts blinkin’ (1 blink pre second).
And I can’t get into my Public and Download folders.

I have to rescue my important data (about 2-5 GB) from Public folder, and I’m absolutely don’t care about Download contents… So please help, folks

Ok, so here we are.

A)
I can login to webinterface as admin role via browser, but not as downloder role:
it shows me this:

Error:
The destination share for downloader was not found!
Please contact My Book World Edition II administrator.

B)
I can ssh into it and operate freely (take information about the system and so on).

But I can’t get into /dev/md2 to save my data from Public folder.

To give you most detailed information about current state of the system, I’ll put here few listings:

 3. mtab info:

/ # cat /etc/mtab
securityfs /sys/kernel/security securityfs rw 0 0
/dev/md2 /DataVolume xfs rw,usrquota 0 0
/dev/md4 /ExtendVolume xfs rw,usrquota 0 0
  1. df info:

    / # df -k

    /dev/md0 1929044 435988 1395064 24% /

    /dev/ram0 63412 12 63400 0% /mnt/ram

  2. As discussed here all user data placed on /dev/md2, so I mad this check:

    / # mdadm -D /dev/md2
mdadm: cannot open /dev/md2: No such file or directory

 and this

/ # mount
/dev/root on / type ext3 (rw,noatime,data=ordered)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
sys on /sys type sysfs (rw)
/dev/pts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw)
securityfs on /sys/kernel/security type securityfs (rw)
/dev/md3 on /var type ext3 (rw,noatime,data=ordered)
/dev/ram0 on /mnt/ram type tmpfs (rw)

Since I don’t see any md2 mentiones in these listins, I can’t move forward…

And I’m very concerned about these lines in Logs listing I placed above:

Jun 7 00:02:23 MyBookWorld daemon.warn afpd[3972]: volume "Download" does not support Extended Attributes, using ea:ad instead
Jun 7 00:02:23 MyBookWorld daemon.warn afpd[3972]: volume "Public" does not support Extended Attributes, using ea:ad instead
Jun 7 00:02:37 MyBookWorld daemon.warn wixEvent[3526]: Media Server - Media Server cannot find the path to one or more of the default folders: /Public/Shared Music, /Public/Shared Pictures or /Public/Shared Videos. Please verify that these folders have not been removed or that the names have not been changed.

I’m afraid to use “mdadm —assemble /dev/md2…” fix, as discribed in WD community here, because I’m on 2 disc with RAID0 NAS instead of 4-disc on RAID5 as described there.

So please, give all help you can. I have to get my data back…

Thanks in advance.

Hello, sorry to hear that you cannot access your files. You might want to check the link below for some suggestions you can try. Keep in mind that the post is directed towards the Sharespace and RAID 1. But the knowledge that can be gained from this post about Ubuntu might be useful to you.
