MyBook World can't connect to backup

I have been backing up my mac to this drive for 2 years. today i ran into an issue that i have been un able to resolve. I can connect to the shared MyBookWorld. As of today I can’t connect in any way to MyBookWorld-backup. i get connection failed. if i try to connect to the drive manually i get and error saying the server my not exist or is unavailable. How can i resolve this issue?

Are you still able to access the admin page? Have you performed a soft reset by holding the switch located on the back of the unit? Have you performed a system update recently?

I can access the admin page. I have rebooted several times with no results. I have the most current firm ware but to my knowledge this was not updated recently.

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.
