My computer is old and with all the new software being such memory hogs, I am trying to get rid of all unnecessary processes. Searching the web I get conflicting information about the two subject proces files that MyBook creates. From what I can figure out, it would be okay to disable wdbtnmgrsvc.exe and leave wdbtnmgrui.exe running (when I do this, I do not seem to lose any functionality). Does anyone agree that this is okay? Would it be okay to disable them both? Thanks,
It is not recommended to stop any background processes in order for the software to work as it should.
