Here is my problem. Sometimes when I plug Mybook external hard drive in, it won’t stop spinning. It appears it will eventually heat up and then I need to put it in a freezer for a few days…comes back just fine. None of the date is lost.
I am just not sure how to stop the “overspinning” to begin with-the fan kicks on etc.
Is there any way to stop this? I am not using any programs when this happens-I just connect it up to the PC…sometimes it does it…sometimes it doesn’t. Any assistance would be appreciated…
