MyBook opens by its self

This just started after I added an new WD external HD. The My Book drive which maps as G:\ opens as in Explorer (I’m not sure it is Explorer).

I can be working in say Photoshop all of a sudden I see the contents of G:\ I have to close the tab before I can continue in my application.

Is there a switch I’ve missed?
