Hi, I have a 3TB MyBook Essential just out of the box. I plugged it in to my Win7 (64bit) HP computer (USB 2.0).
My computer recognizes the drive and assigns a drive letter appropriately. I can navigate to the drive without problem.
However, Windows Backup continues to fail after about 5 hours with a Device I/O error. I have verified the firmware, tried to reformat the drive, but, nothing works.
Any ideas?
