Hello, I just purchased a 16TB My Book Desktop HDD.

As far as I can tell, the advertised automatic backups can only be done through the third party Acronis TrueImage app. I downloaded and installed it but noticed it comes with a 5 year license. Does this mean I cannot keep using automatic backups after this period of time without paying a third party?

I would appreciate some clarity. Nowhere in the box or manual is there any indication that one of the core features requires payment.
