My WD is not working in my laptop

Hello All,

I have bought a new passport 500GB hard disk. Th laptop is hunging after connecting WD passport into it. Please find my laptop configuration below :-

HP Pavilion dv2700 Notebook

RAM -2GB

32bit OS

processor - intel core2 DUO T5750 @ 2.00GHz

Windows vista - service pack 2

Please help me to sort out this problem …

Hey there, I went through this issue before and this is what you can do, test a different cable, different computer, perhaps a desktop, if the drive works fine in other computers you can make sure you run all the Windows updates try connecting it directly to the laptop and if the issue is only with the laptop you might need a cable that WD Support can provide you, call them if none of the above help you with the issue and request a power booster cable.
