My WD green M.2 SSD needs to be RMA. How do I package it to return it?

There are no specific instructions for M2 SSDs but there are generic instructions for all drives. I take issue with 2 of these instructions:

Place the internal drive in ESD (Electro Static Discharge) Bag
Wrap the bag with 2 inches of bubble wrap or non-movable foam cushioning

When I recieved my drive it certainly was not in a ESD wrapper. I still have the original packaging and I just watched an unboxing video to confirm this. It also was certainly not wrapped in 2 inches of bubble wrap. The box it came in is not even 2 inches thick.

Does anyone know if I have to follow these ridiculous instructions as complying will slow the whole process down and make it more expensive than it needs to be.

Hi there, I also encountered the same issue and I contacted the support team. They advised me to use the packaging that came with the M.2 SSD. If there is no ESD wrapper, it is alright. Unfortunately, I threw out the package my SSD came with, so I needed to follow their standard Internal Hard Drive packing instructions.
