My remote quit working

My remote has stopped working. I changed the batteries but still nothing.

No response to any button.

My WD TV Live Plus unit is about 6 months old and dead in the water. What to do?

If it is only 6 months old, then it should still be under warranty. Why don’t you just get it replaced under warranty?

EDIT: If you have not tried pressing the reset button on the WD box, I would try that first.

Also you can point a digital camera or cell phone camera to the remote control IR light and check if it lights up when you press any button.

You can also control the unit via a web browser. Just check what IP address is used in ‘Setup → Networking’ and browse to the ip address from a computer that is on the same network as the WD TV Live unit.

I have same issue here.

My remote control won’t work anymore, I’ve tried to see the IR light with a camera and… nothing…

We can’t control the unit via web browser in WDTV Live Plus, the original firmware don’t have this resource.

Only WDLXTV firmware have this resource.

Anyone knows  where to buy another remote control ?

I have had my remote quit working when my internet ( ethernet )when out for a short period of time and i was on youtube i had to pull the power cord to restart and i unplugged the ethernet cable until i was sure my internet was working correctly 

i say this because after i pulled the power cord on the wd it took a while for the remote to respond , it seemed to respond after i pulled the ethernet cable and reset the wd. Hope this helps !
