My Playstation 3 is unable to read my WD passport

I managed to take my files off my laptop 
(PC) easy enough but when it came to my playstion 3 it wouldnt even read it. I tried to format in a different format but it still wouldnt read it or acknowledge that its there please help?

Hello,

If im not mistaken it needs to be formatted as FAT32 in order to work on PS3.
