My Passport works on Laptop Not on Desktop

My Passport USB Drive, WD5000ME, works fine on my laptop (Windows XP).  But, when connected to my PC (Windows XP) I receive an error message “Cannot Install Hardware” because the software cannot be found.

Same operating system, but why does it work on the laptop and not the PC?  Any solution?

Your PC desktop might not have WD SES driver install.

The WD SES driver is includes in the extras folder on the Virtual CD.

Keep the WD drive plug in,
