My Passport unrecognised by File Manager or if it did it takes too long to open or transfer files

It took so long (including numerous restarts) for it to be recognised by file manager, then I tried to move some files on it so that it doesn’t lag, it won’t do anything and will just freeze for about 10 minutes and then goes back to original.

Are you using any USB hub or connecting the drive via USB 2.0 interface with computer?

Hello,

I am not using a USB hub, but I did connect it via USB 2.0 port on my laptop when I posted this - as that was the only port that read the hard disk.
