Hi,
I have just bought 2 TB portable storage - MY PASSPORT - ULTRA FOR MAC.
Unfortunately It’s set to read-only. what should I do?

You could try out the following steps:

Step 1: Right-click your external hard drive shown on your Mac and select ‘Get Info’.

Step 2: Expand the ‘Sharing & Permissions’ section, then click the lock to authenticate.

Step 3: Check ‘Ignore ownership on this volume’.
