My Passport Ultra - Accidental Formatting

Hi there

I am a computer novice and just bought WD My Passport Ultra. I transferred a movie and plugged into tv to see if it worked - it did. However I then accidently formatted it and lost everything. I have moved a movie onto it again and see it on computer but when I plug it into TV it does not recognise it. I think I have erased all the original stuff on it including all the installation software. Computer operating system is Windows 7

Any help would be extremely appreciated in either directing me to get the original software or recover what I have erased
