Hi,
I bought a new HDD about 3 months ago. I notice on a couple of programs such as CrystalDiskInfo and HD Tune Pro it shows Current Pending Sector Count 1 yet on the Data Lifeguard Diagnostics it seems to be ok. What gives?
I did chkdsk /r and seemed ok.

Also did quick and complete test in WD Drive Utilities and it passed…
If CHKDSK/R did not find any issues (And the hard drive passed other tests) then the unstable sector could be damaged but not in use. I would not worry about it too much unless it starts growing in number. At that point I’d replace the hard drive.
