My Passport Ultra 1 TB and Windows 10

will my WD My Passport Ultra 1 TB External Hard drive Classic be supported by Windows 10 when I have to switch over from Windows 7 in January 2020? I purchased it in 2016 and never thought about what would happen if I had to switch. It did fine when I switched from Windows XP to Windows 7…

you don’t have to switch over … Jan 2020 just means Microsoft won’t be releasing and updates for it.

it’s not like it’s gonna stop working at the stroke of midnight on Jan 2020

I’m not planning to update from Windows 7 to 10 anytime soon.

Heck, there’s plenty of people and places that are still running Windows XP !

To answer your question, yes, WD Hard drives will work with Windows 10

Product Page also say’s it supports Windows 10, 7 and 8.1

My WD Passport Ultra is from 2016. Nowhere can I find a product page for it saying what Windows supports it…but thanks for your answer. I do not intend to switch until I have to

I would be very surprised if Windows 10 does not support a 3 year old external hard drive … it’s kinda the very basics of what a Operating System should/needs to be able to do.

I’m sure Microsoft and WD’s driver support would support a 3 year old device … and much older.
