you don’t have to switch over … Jan 2020 just means Microsoft won’t be releasing and updates for it.

I’m not planning to update from Windows 7 to 10 anytime soon.
Heck, there’s plenty of people and places that are still running Windows XP !

My WD Passport Ultra is from 2016. Nowhere can I find a product page for it saying what Windows supports it…but thanks for your answer. I do not intend to switch until I have to
I would be very surprised if Windows 10 does not support a 3 year old external hard drive … it’s kinda the very basics of what a Operating System should/needs to be able to do.
I’m sure Microsoft and WD’s driver support would support a 3 year old device … and much older.
