Here is the deal, i bought a WD Passport Portable Hard Drive, model ( WDXMS2500TN ).

I have connected it to my router, a linksys with usb support, but i don’t know why i don’t see it HD in any pc when i got to network.

My question is how should i proceed in that case ? Should i install it in one pc, share it and then put it on the router ?

I’ve searched around and didn’t find such answer, hope someone could help me out.

You will need to make sure that your router can see hard drives and not just printers.  And then you will need to see how the router allows you to access the drive.  You need to go to the router manufacturer for that info.
