My Passport not recognize in XP but recognizable in 7

Dear all
I recently have a big problem with my WD Essential passport External Hard. when I connect it to my laptop with windows XP ,after entering security password,I cant access to the My computer and Laptop will be hang. I checked the device manager and driver recognized correctly. I aslo checked it on the other PCs with XP but it s not working. But my HD recognize well on the windows 7 and work well as the past. I also updated my  firmware to the latest , but the problem still remain. Please inform me if you have a remedy for solving this problem.

FORMAT THE DRIVE :slight_smile:

However Before Formatting the Drive TAKE ALL DATA OUT OF THE UNIT , because Formatting erases Everything :slight_smile:

Thanks I didn’t find any way without formatting,but it is ridiculous
