My Passport keeps disconnecting

I bought a 2 TB My Passport to add capacity to My Book Live Duo 6 TB but it keeps disconnecting on its own. Here is the message I get "Following events are generated on your MyBookLiveDuo MtedzaLiveDuo.

Event title:Unsafe device removal

Event description:A USB device (vendor: Western Digital, model: My Passport 0748, serial number: 575851314538324A50544835) was removed without being ejected possibly affecting data on share My_Passport_0748.

Severity:warn

Event code:1123

If I connect My Passport to the computer directly it does not disconnect. I use My Book Live Duo as a server and I need to add a USB drive.

Hi,

Can you please try resetting the My Book live using the reset button on the back of the unit (four seconds reset) and test that again. Make sure that the USB cable is securely attached to the unit.
