When I try to plug my passport into a usb 2.0port on any pc it will power on, but not get recognized by the computer. However it works when plugged into a usb 3.0 port.
The My Passport USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0, since you already tried on more than one computer you may try with an additional USB cable. If still not detected return it to the store and get another one.
