My passport is not accessible

Hi

few days ago my passport (WDBKXH5000ABK) was functioned properly. I used it to watch movies on my new TV (samsung).  yesterday after i finish watching movie, i connect my passport to my pc (win8). windows did recognize new external drive but when i try to get in my folders on my passport, message appeared  “E:/ my passport is not accessible”.

i then disconnected from my pc, restart pc and reconnect, again sam problem, but this this time message appeared, format drive.

my question, does my TV had anything to do with it, and is there any solution without formating drive??

Yes.

Sometimes the drive could get corrupted if you disconnect from the TV and the unit is been accessed at the moment.

You can try to retrieve the files with a data recovery software.

Something like TestDisk  http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk  help if the drive is corrupt
