My Passport Harddrive Not Working?

I’ve had a my passpport harddrive for a year and a half probably.  I’ve never had any issues with it until now.  I used it just a couple days ago, but this morning when I plugged it nothing happens.  It’s not registerring on my computer, the power light on the harddrive won’t come on, nothing.  I’ve tried unplugging and replugging it several times and I can’t seem to make anything happen.  I need help.

Try a different USB cable and see if that changes anything. Also try on another PC if possible.

I have no other USB cable that would fit in the harddrive.  Also, I’m in college, I have one PC.
