I am working with a 32bit OS (Windows 7) Drive was working fine, now is extremly SLOW only get about 5KB/s transfer, takes about 5 mins to recognize when I plug it in. I’ve tried it on several computer. Thought maybe a reformat would do the trick took 10 hours to do a “quick” format into NTFS tried to do a full format it failed after about 12 hours… don’t tell me this thing is crapping out after only having it for 3 months…
I have experienced that issue and it was due to a fragmented drive. It would be helpful for you to Check and Defragment the drive. You can click here for instructions how to do it.
