My Passport Essential 500 GB - reformatted - Backup does not perform

Hello there,

Any advice on the issue mentioned above is very much appreciated:

I had to reformat my HD. No backups can be created since. I am using WD Smartware Pro Version 2.4.2.

All preparations seem to be done so far:

However, my backup does not perform properly although it would be confirmed (see below).

Did I forget anything after reformatting the HD?

The following attempts didn’t help:

  • reinstalling WD Smartware over and over again (on my notebook)
  • made sure that external HD is unlocked
  • switch between file backup and category backup
  • switch between continuous and scheduled backup
  • manually starting backup.
