I have a Passport Essential SE 750 GB external drive. Was wondering if this drive is compatible with the WD Disk Utility Software. Also, I recently updated my Mac OS from El Capitan to Sierra. The latest OS backup on my external drive is an El Capitan backup. Does the external drive need to be wiped and reformatted in order to accept a Sierra backup OS? Thank you.
