I’ve bought a My Passport drive to replace an existing external drive that I use to hold files that I need to access from both home and work. On my home PC I set up a password but haven’t yet copied any files onto the drive.

I’ve now brought the drive to work, plugged it in to my PC and, as soon as I enter my password to access the drive, I get a blue screen.

Does anyone know of any solutions as currently it’s unusable and a waste of money.

Is there an error code on the blue screen? That error code can tell us a lot what really “might” cause the system crash.
