My passport 500G external hdd become so slow when I copy or move any data from or to it and also when I made the salf test in wd smartware cant complet the test

What error are you getting, normally, if the drive fail the test, it is advisable to replace the drive.

Did you replace the USB cable? If you test your drive in a different computer do you encounter the same issue?
