My Passport 500 Gb only works in USB 3.0

Hi, the problem is that I have a My Passport 500 Gb drive for a year  and recently it stop working on USB 2.0 ports, now only works in USB 3.0. What could be the problem? What can I do?

It could be a power issue…

Have you tried using a power booster cable?

Thanks but that doesn’t work, when I connect the drive to any computer on an USB 3.0 port it works perfectly, but when I try to connet it to a USB port it only show an “unknown device” message and when I go to (device manager/USB/Unknown Device/Properties) It shows a “code 43” error message.

What can I do?
