My Passport 4tb brand new doesn't work with Mac

HI,

I have a WD My Passport 4tb and I formatted it to exfat like the WD website says to do to use this device on a mac.

It just says “not mounted”. see the screenshots:

I reformatted a few times and it never got fixed. The drive has worked 2 or 3 times with my Mac, but never really worked after that.
