My net n900 will not connect to the internet

It is new & will Not Connect.  Also, I have a Notebook, without a CD drive, therefore I need an alternative method of installing the initial software.  Is it a brick???

Please see the user manual on page 10 for all the information on how to set and install the WD Router.

I clearly stated, “I have a Notebook, without a CD drive, therefore I need an alternative method of installing the initial software.” The first place you direct me is to a page where it instructs you to insert the installation CD. If you have no interest in resolving this issue - I would appreciate it if you would direct this problem to someone who can, such as a supervisor or a manager with an interest in solving problematic situations. To tell you the truth, I really expected quite a lot more from WD’s IT Department.

While I understand where you’re coming from, I believe you are misunderstanding the very purpose of the WD Community, which is user-to-user interaction. Staff members may post once in a while, but Western Digital has official, direct support channels for addressing technical issues. Users should not expect constant, steady, and/or direct responses from WD Staff members while on the forum.

If I was in your position, I would contact Western Digital support channels either by phone or E-mail as you are experiencing a very specific situation. I am sure they will be more than glad to address your concerns.
