My External Drive won't let me move/delete/cut anything from the folders

I have a Passport Ultra.

I changed the name of my previous laptop, and am now using a new one as well. However, for the past couple of months, the Drive doesn’t let me move folders or delete them. It says I need permission from the administrator, but it refuses to akwnoledge that my computer has authorization. I tried to change the security permissions, but it won’t let me give anything else permission.
I need to delete some folders etc, how can I remove the permissions or atleast let me change who has it>

It may be related to the level of security inherited from your old computer. Since those credentials don’t exist on your new computer, it can not enforce them. If you do not have access to your previous system and changing permissions in the security tab using Properties yields no result then you may have to format your hard drive.
