Good Afternoon,

I’m thinking of getting two of these but have a bunch of questions if anyone is able to please help…

Are they compatible with Solaris and RH?

Can they be used without any internet access?

One would back up the other. Is there a way to have them sync up in real time? Or… What would be a good backup utility to back up one to the other?

Do these have file history capability?

You can easily turn off the cloud features.

What do you mean with compatible? You can use nfs, samba, ftp, rsync, ssh. Afaik, it also has time machine.
Based on the nature of your questions I suspect you’ll be really disappointed at first due to the many outdated packages.
But it’s a debian based OS and we have sufficient info for most of the critical hardware (fan, display, …).

So I shouldn’t have any problem backing up Solaris or RedHat- systems- correct?
They will work without internet access- correct? Outdated is OK.
