Have I got this right, or have I missed something?
Paying a one off fiver to use Plex to stream music to my IPad is one thing but paying a monthly subscription so that I can access MY music from MY server once or twice a year from a distant location IS TOTALLY OUT OF ODER !
Ignore the App and access through the web page.
https://app.plex.tv/desktop then login with your username and password.
Works fine.
