My Cloud EX4 raid 5 is DEGRADED ! drive 3 is gone. Suddenly the EX4 came with a message that drive 3 var removed.
At that time it manage to rebuild drive 3 but when I ran a system test the drive fails again and this time for good. I have replaced drive 3 with a new 3TB WD RED (hot swap) with no result. All the drives are brand new 3TB WD RED HDs.
Is there some way to rebuild the raid 5. ? help me :frowning:

Perhaps it would be best to contact WD Support about this. You can do so over the phone or via E-mail.

I have contacted WD support and I am running some test on the drive with their dianostic tools, it seems that the drive is bad (too many bad sectors). I will write some more when I know more :slight_smile:
