I am contemplating adding an external drive to a My Net N900 wi-fi router. Is it possible to use a My Cloud drive? I am unsure if this newest family of drives is compatible. If not My Cloud, which WD drive is recommended?
Yes, but keep in mind the My Cloud is a NAS (connects via ethernet) not a USB drive.
It really doesn’t matter what type of router you have (as far as it working), just as long as you have a spare ethernet port on the router to connect the My Cloud.
Understood. I have 5 available Ethernet ports. I wanted to be sure that I was not limited to only drives that connected via USB.
