MY Cloud Desktop app no longer working

What happened to the My Cloud Desktop App? it suddenly stopped working. is there an updated app I can use?

The My Cloud Desktop program has been End of Life since 2016.

For local network access to the My Cloud, use Windows File Explorer or Mac Finder. For remote access to a My Cloud, use the MyCloud.com web portal. Or enabled the insecure FTP feature in the My Cloud Dashboard > Settings and enable port forwarding for FTP in the network router the My Cloud is connected to.

@deodeo Do you have a 1st or 2nd generation My Cloud?

I can still use the Desktop app with my 1st generation but can’t add the 2nd generation. See example image below. When I click on Add Device I can’t add my WDMYCLOUDTWO!

I’ve been using the Desktop app since a couple of months ago, but now it wont even load, so i guess it is “End of Life”. i will use the mycloud.com instead. thank for the help.
