My Cloud app and HTC One M8 (Android) issue

Hi Community,

I have the Android app for My Cloud running on my Samsung Galaxy S5 just fine - any time a picture is taken and I’m on Wifi the picture(s) are backed up nicely.  I’ve now added the app to my wife’s HTC One M8 (Android version).  I’ve gone ahead and connected it to my My Cloud device via our Wifi, but for some reason no pictures from her phone are backed up to my My Cloud device.  I’ve gone ahead and deleted/re-added the device, uninstalled and re-installed the app - all with no luck.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!

Is she using a camera app that stores pictures in specific folders other than the standard DCIM Android folder?

She is using the stock camera app on the M8, which stores the pictures in the DCIM folder.  In her case she doesn’t have a SD card in the phone so it’s storing pictures local to the phone.

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.
