My cloud and local network recognition

I had a heck of a time getting mycloud to recognize my local network. This issue did not allow me to invite individuals to share my device. I use a MacBook as my computer. I discovered that the Mac, by default, had the ip address hidden from view. The mycloud site stated that I was not connected to my LAN as a result.

I’m not an IT expert, so I’m certain that there are holes in my description of the issue.
