When I try and log into the admin panel my computer adds extra characters automatically to my password and therefore I fail to log in! This happens in firefox, chrome and explorer. Can anyone help please?

I think you are referring to the additional dots that are added to hide the number of characters for the password, be sure to be using the correct password. If the problem keeps happening, if possible try to login from another PC on the network.
