I just bought a WD My Book 2 TB, plugged it into my PC and installed the software and did a backup of selected drives on my pc. So I figured plug it into my WNDR 4300 and use the My Book to backup my other half’s laptop as well. I plugged it in to the usb port and ReadyShare picked it up easily, mapped the My Book on my pc easily but I can’t access the backup settings, they are greyed out now Any help would be appreciated

Are you using SmartWare to backup to the MyBook on your router? The Smartware software will not pick up the MyBook if it is connected to a router.
